If you get extra help from Medicare to help pay for your Medicare prescription drug plan costs, your monthly plan premium will be lower than what it would be if you did not get extra help from Medicare. The amount of extra help you get will determine your total monthly plan premium as a member of our Plan.
“Extra Help”: A Medicare program to help people with limited income and resources pay Medicare prescription drug program costs, such as premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that all plan sponsors accept evidence presented by a Medicare beneficiary that he or she is eligible for extra help/Low Income Subsidy (LIS), even if Medicare records show otherwise.
